A full session will take about 1- 2 hours.  Mini sessions take 30 minutes to 1 hour.   Most importantly should be scheduled around your kids sleeping and eating schedules.  Due to the heat and beautiful light 2 hours before sunset is a great time for a session.

Locations

The session can be at a location at, or near your home that is meaningful to you.  I prefer to work outdoors for family sessions.
If you don't have a location in mind, I have a few suggestions.

What to wear

This is really up to you.  You can coordinate or choose complimentary colors and patterns.  Rich colors and textures come across beautifully on camera.  It is summer, it is going to be hot and humid and you may get a little dirty, so make sure that you are comfortable in whatever you choose to wear.  It is not necessary to match.  Your clothes should also reflect your personality, so don't feel like you have to go out and buy all new clothes.  You may also bring a change of clothes for a variety of photos.  

What to bring

If you have young children, favorite toys can be a great distraction for candid photographs.  Children can also bring a toy or video game to play while they are waiting for the next set up or for their turn.  Also, think ahead of time of any specific pictures that you want to make sure that we get.

After the session

Once your photos are taken, I will give you a small preview on my photography Facebook page.  Feel free to share the link with family and friends or on your Facebook page.  Within 2 weeks later I will send you a link and password to your online gallery.  If your package includes a disk, you will be able to download full resolution images from the gallery.  

When you are ready choose the images that you would like to purchase.  You can order at any time from the gallery - 24 hours a day, and even use your credit card for the purchases.  Once your order is complete, I will work on just a little more Photoshop of the images you have chosen to make sure that the prints are perfect.  The prints that you order will be sent directly to your house.  My supplier is photo lab that only prints for professional photographers.  They guarantee the quality of their prints, and you will notice a difference in your images compared to prints from the local drugstore.
